I doubt STO will do a CR now, obviously they should have done six months ago or more, but that's by the by now. They have signaled they will offload some assets instead, so I think any shorters banking on a CR is misplaced. With massive cashflow now about to be generated the time is ticking I would suggest on how much bang the shorts can get.
One decent announcement on a $2bln of so asset sale & the SP should rocket.
STO is now the 16th most shorted stock on the ASX with over 10% of its stock short.
Just to be clear, that's over 100 million shares short!
That's a hell of a lot to cover.
I doubt STO will do a CR now, obviously they should have done...
