Why would they sell the png asset?
WA, Vietnam & NT would make at least 2 billion if not more - they could cut that straight from the debt and with the glng coming online in a week or so they can easily manage the debt and keeping the png asset will also help with the cashflow.
They only have short term problems because the size of the USD debt scares most but shaving 2-3 billion off and suddenly it doesn't look so bad at all and in no time the sp would return to around $6.
Lots of drama being pumped into sto trying to spook the horses - I'm surprised everyone haven't already loaded up who has wanted to - so why the need to talk it down?
glng coming online in a week or so will be a huge confidence boost
