Stock is down because people are selling....I mean it doesn't get simpler than that. Why are they selling? Who knows...maybe they think this stock is maxed out.....the chart was getting 'toppy' for a while. Volume and price wasn't strong. Maybe they wanted to lock in profits....maybe there were weak hands who think this stock has reached it's limits and just want to get out....maybe for some odd reason the fiscal year ended in the US on sept 30th....there was a blood bath the last 2 days in the US as well....But see image below for how many people are shorting the US versions of this stock. Do keep in mind though, those #"s also include the shorting that market makers have to do sometimes when buying/selling shares ...it's a long complicated system that even I don't fully understand...but you get the idea. Now with today's disappointing 5.6% fall we're back to where we were in mid August so 1.5 months of gains wiped out in two days.
