Ophiolite, my ass.

I mapped the area extensively, and there's no evidence of oceanic crust upon which to base the claim that this is an ophiolite sequence. To whit, THX just released holes and said it was hosted in mafic volcaniclastics (ie; volcanic) rocks.

Ophiolite sequences include the lower crust gabbro and peridotites, and inevitably are highly serpentinised and deformed. The Bryah-Padbury basin volcanic rocks are all back-arc basalts and lower greenschist facies. The high-MgO basalts and ultramafics are also simply put, volcanic, not intrusive rocks.

A fine theory aimed at drawing parallels with the Oman ophiolites and the copper deposits within them, but its total rubbish.

I'd also like to see their mapping, see how they explain the structural history of the area. Its way more complicated than they think.
