The problem with your scenario krisbarry 1 is that any serious trader will not show their hand if they are wanting to get movement upward in the shareprice. That is likely to frighten the little old ladies and the T-3 traders (not you though krisbarry-1)
They sit on the sidelines and wait for the bunnies to chase the stock and then wam, bang, thank you bunny. They just ease into the business, not wanting to cause any dismay.
As the penny drops the punters want out and the savvy ones are waiting in the 3.5c to 4.5 positions ready to fill up again.
