I'd say so, and my guess is for the following reasons:
- board/management stability (including a strategic direction that institutional investors/lenders will back - as has been evidenced with recent loan refinancing)
- ratings upgrades by analysts
- recovery in futures prices
- government policy stability (i'd say strong alignment/engagement with Federal and state gov, evidenced by multiple site visits and press conferences commending the company's transition execution)
- Origin no longer a beneficiary of any positive utilities sentiment (because of the buyout)
- Origin revising upwards their FY23 forecasts (which it would insinuate a positive movement for AGL too)
- Forums
- ASX - By Stock
- The Cannon-Brookes effect
