Well there are good reasons and bad reasons for doing cap raisings. Paying off debt and expansion are probably the best reasons, rather than paying directors fees or keeping going loss making divsions of a company. Inevitably there will be dilution, but a sound financial footing will improve the share price once the additional shares have settled in the market.
Less emotion, more common sense.
