Anyone know how much GNM to pay for carbon tax ?
My calculation is as below
- According to the government's document National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting - Greenhouse and Energy Information 2009-10 GNM emitted about 834K tonnes of CO2 in 2009-2010,(786,245 + 48,504)
- If GNM emits the same amount of CO2 as before, at $23/tonnes, the carbon tax will be about AUD $19 millions (834k x 23), and it will be increased 2.5% every year until 2015
