I have been a holder of BPT a few times but not at present

They are difficult to hold and probably the best strategy is to forget you have them , as they are a reasonable performer but strategically over the last few years have gone into an alphabet of ventures all over the world

"difficult to hold" - because if you apply rational thinking to them you come up short and often sell too early - they are an enigma to me

having read the recent presentation they may be going back to their Cooper roots with the shale gas ideas - all the infrasructure is nearby and they would be an early mover

They claim that the Cooper Basin shale gas "sleeper" is :-

" - Comparable to combined NSW and Queensland coal seam gas volume"

If it is true it will cause some consternation amongst all the others with gas to sell - might force GTL as well as more LNG

The Nappamerri Trough with potential GIP >200TCF ?

    Holdfast-1 will be worth watching

When you review the US shale gas industry you realise that once the fraccing is mastered the gas is there

(AWE also looking at shale gas in WA)

The other BPT issue for me is succession planning for the management
