Movements like LTG are doing an absolute diservice to environmentalism as a movement.
No wonder the Greens are getting marginalised and facing electoral oblivion.
Giving any credence to LTG represents the triumph of fundamentalism over science, fearmongering over analysis, of NIMBYism over the collective good, of mob rule over reasoned cost/benefit decision making.
Not recongnising the development of gas as a transition energy source whilst renewables are still developing is accepting not cutting global emmissions right now asap.
All it takes is for Government to grow a spine and to legislate for the greater good. If politcal leadership is shown then in the end a bunch of rag tag uninformed protestors wont stop the economic, environmental and social benefits that will flow from the State's gas reserves.
So ML 173 I dont think any of us are going to give up that easily.
