In case you haven't worked it out yet, there are any number of IoT tech solutions that have been successfully ported to the chipsets of large chippies. Intel, alone, has more than 5,000 solutions registered on its Alliance Directory. All the other main players have similar developer alliances.

The key requirement is for evidence that the porting will lead to markets and commercial success - i.e to see licenses struck with the clients of the MOU chippies. Fortunately, the wait for this news is not expected to be long as we have been told to expect news by the end of calendar 16.
