I agree tropic. For those who may be unaware...David is an experienced project manager with a diverse team and project input from CSIRO, Macquarie University, Mincore, etc. I would doubt if LMG are not well supported to discover and access opportunities.
As a company CEO, it is incumbent upon the holder of the position to be thoroughly aware of all Government programs, tender opportunities, financial assistance, business programs ect.
There are multiple alert systems available such as, Tederlink, Grant guru, ICN - Industry Capability Network, Grant Finder, Austrade, etc. Once registered and the grant scope is well defined, automatic applicable alerts regarding opportunities come straight to your email.Writing Grant applications can be very time consuming but for developing projects/businesses it can be highly financially beneficial as well as raise the project profile. When a project is well defined and well written up with supporting evidence, the efficiency and effectiveness of applications multiplies significantly..Evidence such as, local community engagement, EPA and Local Goverment Approval, inkind support, employment generation, benefits to Australia, Dollar for dollar capacity, environmental credentials, resource efficiency, recycling, financial credentials, management expertise, insurance, etc, are required..Once the project is well defined, it is relatively easy to replicate information to multiple grant opportunities at the same time, year after year..I do not think that the changing project scope multiple times over the last few years has assisted in funding/grant opportunities. Once the demonstration plant is well established and able to assist in defining all outputs, parameters, financial viability and capabities, the success rate of applications will drastically increase imo..Some may not be aware, a $23 million dollar project is under the scale for many Government grants. The demo plant expansion to the 10,000tpa plant will be a game changer and monumental in a vast variety of opportunities..All imo.Kind regards.
