Whilst public companies can claim interest costs as a TAX deduction so too should individual property investors be allowed to claim their interest and other costs associated with their investment.If you ban negative gearing you will have to ban public listed companies from claiming losses when having a bad year ,at present they can carry losses for years and pay virtually no tax for years i think ARIADNE falls into this catagory
