Tell me db,
Were Origin to lob a bid and come to the 'rescue' of ESG, I assume that you would prefer this to Santos and GLNG. Am I right?
Or, should we ESG holders just tell Origin to go jump and go to bed with Santos?
Because I think we got you all wrong, db. You have no associations with Santos or friends, do you? Your allegiances are far closer to home. And with the coming price on carbon, our friends at Origin, with their gas in QLD rather than NSW; with their new purchase of customers in NSW (but no gas assets in NSW), with their planned 1,000KW gas-fired power station 60km north of Goulburn... they are going to come a'knocking, aren't they db?
Well, I hope your mates have got deep pockets, including the debt they have raised and their coming equity selldown of APLNG. Because as much as ORG might want the key gas resource in NSW, I think it is very unlikely that they will be able to pay the sorts of sums that the other players are likely to pay for ESG.
Alley has said he wants ESG gas to go to GLNG. Good on him for being upfront and declaring his position openly. That, I can respect.
Where do you want ESG's gas to go, db?
