Nice to see a bit of attention happening here Juke Im very much of the opinion that share holders can help. Communication on these forums is often by some of the most diehard fans of a stock and even by large share holders at times, mountains can be moved.
take for example TZL where the board over throw was initiated and Mark Bouris was brought in to lead the new board all from a shareholder movement on this forum site, shareholders were contacting newspaper reporters, asics, asx and the heated debate was receiving thousands of hits from interested parties and with the push from some larger shareholders that were involved, the papers were printing TZ Limited next to Mark Bouris.
Onwards and upwards, consistently contacting the press can keep CWE at the top of the pile when reporters are looking for some content to beef up online or written media thus with no pun intended create a groundswell of interest in not only the company but the technology.
CWE may not have the necessary palm grease to lobby government ministers and be seated at the right tables when the grants are decided but the power of the people still has the ability to force deals.
I recall talking to a chap whose job it was to monitor several radio programs and read a list of newspaper columns, (he was one of many around the country that worked for an advertising group that was contracted to the civil service regardless of government in power) now when controversial or high profile government issues or decisions were mentioned three times, he had a list of people he was to contact with the details, depending on the related issue. He told me that when you heard the talkback radio host (john Laws for example) exclaim that they would go to a break and get the necessary minister or ministerial secretary on the phone, that in fact that person had already called the radio to quell what becomes ground swell after the magic number of mentions which is three.
Now here is the interesting part the radio stops fielding calls on the subject after this third call intervention. Papers similarly refuse to print letters to the editor on the same basis, however if the continuation of the subject matter is led on alternate platforms, and the media in question starts loosing listeners or readers to the ongoing discussions elsewhere, then pressure bears them to continue coverage and in turn give us a secondary route of contact to the ministers ears (these people just keep calling the contacts in government).
We may not have the power of the dollar behind us or even the heavy marketing people in place in our beloved little company but that does not stop the average share holder from picking up the phone or dropping an email to reporters and helping the wave energy to do its job.
Believe it or not Millionaires do read these forums so do Government Representatives, Company Representatives, Bank Executives, Brokers and average Australians. Conversations and Ideas start here but do not necessarily have to finish here.
With a helping hand from all the holders that read this we can get more holders involved and have a large public interest asking why CETO is not the name that every one thinks of as Aussie Power.
