Please comment, or correct me if I'm wrong, but after research, this is how I understand the Ceflatonin story is at the moment.

Gleevec, the wonderdrug, is 96% effective against CML. In small trials Ceflatonin has been shown to be very effective too, but nobody can beat Gleevec. So good is Gleevec, that cxs are concentrating on trials where Gleevec users become resistant. Ceflatonin isn't the only drug that can help here, infact Bristol MS have a drug ready, but it is only 45% effective. Ceflatonin is expected to do much better than that (up to 92%).

Gleevec is such a good drug against such a terrible illness, that minor and moderate side effects are irrelevant. However if major side effects start occuring often then the huge market might open up for a safer, and almost as effective drug. Ceflatonin looks like being that drug.

It's too early to quantify at the moment, but cxs could be sitting on the lead drug in a $2.8b market. But be cautious, Glleevac is such a great drug that it's position as number one is certainly safe at the moment. Also Ceflatonin is not fully tried, tested or approved, yet.

    I hope this helps.
