CSIRO invented Wi-Fi and as far as I can see, have only received around $220M. Can you imagine what Wi-Fi is really worth now?
From what I can gather CSIRO gave it away. (Please correct me if i'm wrong)
CSIRO also invented the Black Box that is so essential in seeking reasons for plane crashes.
It certainly was given away free by CSIRO.
I was working at the CSIRO's Aeronautical Research Laboratory in Fishermans Bend, South Melbourne at the time.
My job was insignificant, and I was not in any way involved in research.
I did get to know, and to highly
respect the inventor, David Warren, however.
This photo on the day of his funeral received wide coverage in the USA, and, also, I expect, worldwide.
