Totally agree, shareholders quoting Dr T, Leslie, Fong, or anyone else’s resume or actions as a sign of a good investment is in-experienced.
I often see it referenced in both companies, “Surely they wouldn’t spend millions if XYZ wasn’t confident”:
Yes they would. 90%+ biotech’s fail to bring a drug to market for various reasons, efficacy, trial design, execution, timing, competitive landscape, pricing, insurers/payers, market size or ability to scale, the list goes on.
All we can do at this stage is question the science and R&D in what is announced or publicly available. Something shareholders aren’t doing enough of by trusting managements comments and not looking at the data closely in its entirety.
