First heads up was the Wolf leaving and the changes to management - they put the more business savvy guy (but still got science cred) as CEO and left to science guru to the science.

At this stage I still thought it was closer to going down the tubes though as the cash burn was crazy and they just didn't seem t get that you always want 1-2 years cash - they seemed to always believe they were going to sign a monster deal and be eternally cash flow positive. You can see how that turned out.

I thought the Hocking family was the only survival option in the end and I was still going to stay away.

Then I made a phone call. It was the first time I had spoken to anyone from the company - no offense to Nick but he seemed to be more suited to a company that was much further advanced then PYC was at the time - he was over promising and under delivering and I don't think any of it was his fault - stuff like this takes 5-10 years not 1-2.

Anyway - I started thinking about the technology, then the biotech sector and the heat (that I expect to last a year or 2 more) and then the Peptidreams comparison and figured that PYC with cash in the bank gets a clear run for the next 12 months at least and it looks like it will have a major shareholder with 20-40% of the company (read between the lines - the free float in this will be very small so 'if' it has good news it could run very quickly - I think 10c is going to be possible but I will just stick with 3-5c as a prediction).

I know I have said this before but have you ever seen a less promoted CR in all your life? I think the people (or person) advising the Hockings is very switched on and they have no problem holding a large parcel and I am willing to support/participate in that. I will review along the way as the cash burn still concerns me but for now I am happy to be in a cashed up biotech in this market that obviously has billion dollar potential (in a long time) and the management is being refocussed in the right direction.

All that matters now is how many I get allocated. If I get scaled a lot then I will probably lose interest but if I get my requested allocation (which I see as likely cause I'm not sure many existing shareholders are going to care over the Christmas break) the I will be a keen follower for some time I suspect.
