China is not one of them. China must keep buying Treasuries because the Chinese economy is inextricably tied to America’s. Chimerica is the economic symbiosis between China and America where separation would harm both countries and be disastrous for the global economy. A lot of bluff, bluster and political rhetoric from both sides, but neither country is willing to take each other down.

Cannot agree with that.

I can think of many reasons why it is in China's interest to stop buying US treasuries short and long term and soon as well.

China appears more independent than USA to me.
