I grew up and went to a school in Glen Waverley, it's had a high Asian population for at least 15 years, you just need to drive around the "high end" shopping centre (far from it I think) to look at the restaurants and they are almost all Asian.

Certainly not saying this is a positive or negative, just that it's not surprising that Chinese buyers are getting active in that area.
