Markfive: The Tanbreez deposit does have some positives - REE's associated with the mineral Eudialyte are usually high in the HREE's, and other minerals separated from Eudialyte are saleable, and would possibly cover at least the cost of mining and mineral separation at the mine site, but not refinery costs where REE's are separated from Eudialyte. This is the expensive part of the process, and may be difficult to achieve economically - especially with silica gel problems associated with acid leaching of Eudialyte, which may complicate separation of REE's from silica, other minerals and gangue material.
GML's deposit on the other hand has uranium as a byproduct, the sale of which will probably cover the cost of mining, mineral concentration and refining to a large extent. Uranium will become a major advantage for GML IMO. GML's REE deposit has minerals that are simple to process and refine, and will be extremely difficult to compete with from an economic point of view by any other Rare Earth Companies IMO.
