I would doubt that Qld has waken up politically.Qld usually leans to the right federally but truth is it a labor stronghold now (state), if you asked the average Queenslander they'd laugh at that notion but it would have to be considered that .Apart from Newman for a term and Borbidge for a single term it has been Labor has been in power for 35 years continuous. Queenslanders don't really like change so would be very hard to unseat nearly 4 decades of power.
