Not really. If you want to make a cosmetically good result then matching the skin surfaces as precisely as possible and have very low tension on the wound are critical. Because BTM provides such a good subcutaneous bed for a graft and can help build up the thickness it provides the basis of a very good result if the surgeon also has expertise.
