It might be interesting to see the full article. If 7 patients survived then 3 must have died during treatment. Presumably those with complications like fungal infection, since baterial and clotting disorders might well have resolved with treatment, or other burn related injuries like CO poisoning, smoke inhalation and burns to the respiratory system might have contributed.
Still 7 out of 10 and 95% wound closure after 4.5 months sounds pretty decent. 20 years ago mortality might well have been 100%.
