Knowing what I now know about the USA health care system that is indeed plausible. However, I tend to lean towards another hypothesis. That is that the health care professional(s) were treating the ulcers as they always have and thought of the section of BTM as just another dressing and needing replacing with a new clean & fresh piece of BTM on a weekly basis. I want to make it very clear that I am talking way outside of my pay grade here. But there is no getting away from the fact, that the responsibility of the failure and subsequent cancellation of the DFU trial is a shared one. Both PNV and the practitioners are at fault.
