You fail to realise that the government money comes form somewhere. TAX.
It is a poor policy that takes food off the table from those that are not in a position to take advantage.
I simply looked at the return on equity. No subsidy/ no investment. But this 'investment' did not in any shape or form help the Australian solar industry. Chinese panels with German inverter sees funds flowing out of Australia.
Except for the small cash that went to the installer doing the dogs body works there was no 'smarts', there was no intellectual benefit to Australia.
If that subsidy was only available for local grown product & development, then cash velocity would have been so much greater.
It didn't matter if I was buying a bucket of shit as long as the return stacked up in this instance.
But long game no benefit to Australia for the tax imposed to fund this rort.
