TELL ME AGAIN HOW CO2 ACTS AS A ‘CONTROL KNOB’ TO DIAL UP THE REQUIRED TEMPERATURE

So in Southern Alaska where there is a melting glacier today, 1000 years earlier it was so warm there was a forest .

Therefore it must have been substantially warmer a 1000 years ago (when Co2 was at much lower levels - around 280ppm) than it is today (around 410ppm).

So with the evidence clear, that it was substantially warmer when Co2 was lower - how is lowering Co2 going to make it cooler ?

Perhaps Co2 doesn’t work like a ‘control knob’ to dial up temperatures, let alone the number of extreme weather events.
