The coalition tried that in the 2016 election, and it didn't work. If the Victorian state Labor government did not have the quarrels with the firefighters in that state, Labor would be in government now in Canberra.
The next Labor government will govern the country for all Australians, unlike coalition governments which favor secti0nal interests. Have a look around what the current coalition government is doing, giving tax cuts to businesses and the already well off and at the same time squeezing the funds available to help the needy.
In the next election, Labor will use the demonstrable disasters of a dysfunctional current coalition government to remind voters not to vote for a return of such a ratbag of misfits fighting amongst themselves instead of governing for the benefits of the majority of Australians.
