Trump has always said immigration is ok as long as it's legal and so have the vast majority and underlying Trump base always agreed with this.
The problem is the illegal alien immigrants and illegally entering the US not immigration itself. The US like any other country should control and vet who is or isn't allowed in, this is a safe and logical approach unlike what we've been seeing.
Secure the border, export the illegals and allow legal immigration is what i would expect to see with Trump.
