Why don't you address the topic rather than attacking posters.
The topic is: 'The collapse of the American empire"

If you don't believe that the American Empire is collapsing then say so
and then support your opinion with relevant facts, authorative links
    and normal reasoning.That's the norm.

Just in case that you are not familiar with normal civilised debate,
    I'll give you an example.

"IMO the US empire is not collapsing" just changing tack to meet the challenge of
    an emerging China.

    The US strengths are:
-a vibrant democracy with proven rule of law and a sustainable economy underpinned by Free Market practices 7 philosophy
-an advance hi-tech economy driven by innovation and product development
-the global leader in armed force with global reach
-a free press & personal liberties

    etc etc etc.

And you could supply a few links to support the above.

That's how you positively put your case.

Then as a critique of other poster's posts, you could take
their points one by one, provide an alternative opinion
and than back up that with a link, examples etc.

Please note: such posting does not personally attack/personally denigrate
others and presents an alternative point of view in a civil and polite
fashion. Just because you are afforded anonymity on HC, does
not mean that you are free to abuse others.( HC TOUs attest to that)
and, besides, such civil posting would avoid the mod's attention.

HC is a good platform to learn how to debate ; that is if you are so inclined.

    Its easy if you try

    All IMO only

PS: I believe that the American empire is contracting because:
-Its is being overtook by China in GDP and surpassed by China in global manufacturing & trade
-It has loosing the support of its corporations that made it
-it has had to bolster its economy on average by 5% ($1 trillion a year) via Government debt 7 that is unsustainable (nearly $30 Trillion debt)
-It has engaged in a series of expensive wars since WW2; non of which it won
-its industrial heartland (the traditional heart of its empire) has collapsed
-40 million of its people are in poverty requiring food stamps
-60% of its population can't survive a month on what wealth they have accumulated
    -a growing wealth gap
    etc etc etc

Can it re-invent itself?................ I hope so but I fear not.

So there you are, my opinion in a nutshell
Please refer to my previous posts for links, data opinions of others.
