The USA has spent hundreds of Billions on wars overseas rather than economically developing its neighbours to the south.
At present it has economic sanctions on Venezuela which is shedding refugees like nobody's business and of course a vast %age of the US population is addicted to illicit drugs which is feeding drug cartel gangsterism in Central & South America
Like African & M/E poverty driving EU illegal immigration, the same thing is happening with US illegal economic immigration from Central & South America.
Like our farmers and some small businesses relying on cheap backpacker & Islander labour, US farmers & some small businesses rely on these illegal immigrants on a mega scale.
So, IMO part of the solution for US illegal immigration IMO should be: -US economic assistance for Central & South America -extra punitive regulations for those employing illegals -domestic eradication of illicit drug use -an efficient deportation regime.(prompt deportation to country of origin for all illegal immigrants) -extra assistance for Mexico to prevent it from being a transit country.
