The America we know today was built by its entrepreneurs
and big businesses and, alas, these do not now love America
as evidenced by their offshoring profits in tax havens to avoid US tax.
IMO a corporation's love of country is paying tax; not avoiding it.
Over the next 10 years I'd agree with you "dont bet on the US demise"
but after that I have serious doubts.

Sentiments/emotions are fine in the shorter term but economics in the longer term
call the shots.
