It seems like Ancient Rome and its senators were just a farce compared to what's going on in the U.S.A. - a country of untold riches ignoring half its population who live in poverty, struggling for equality, civil rights, decent treatment by the authorities (their coloured people) and having been on an expensive war footing with countries half a world away from their home territory for the last 20 years?!

I am still puzzled about the Kennedys, I think J.F.K. was killed for political reasons - similar to Robert. Were they seen as threatening the establishment? Oswald was just the fall guy IMO; - America had a real chance of renewal under the Kennedys. Whosoever is the Power in the background did not like their policies, they wanted to keep a war going, for example - never-ending wars which don't benefit anyone except the weapons manufacturers - and the end result many years later: millions of homeless people, fleeing from destroyed cities, villages, finish up in Europe, where they are no longer welcome.

There is also the unholy alliance with Israel - the countries surrounding Israel cannot but see Israel as another European/American invader. I know this is anathema and I feel I want to be on-side with the Jewish state, but it is a religious dictatorship and harsh in its treatment of its neighbours - and supported by the U.S., financially and with never-ending weapons deals.

I no longer see the U.S. as a benevolent power, just a power hanging in there for dear life by all means, at all cost. Biden is doing his best, but he is hampered every step of the way. Putin sees him as an easy adversary, he, himself probably hanging in there against the forces of democracy in his own country (look what he has done to anyone opposing him)

- we are living in a world which is rapidly changing.

I do watch some odd programs on TV and just recently I saw something on China and there was some financial dealing going on - nothing big - and they preferred to be paid in U.S. $ - I allowed myself a little smile.

Maybe we'll have to go back to currencies which are based on real value??? Because what we are dealing with now seems to be just monopoly money. I have given up trying to understand how our financial systems work.

You may be right about Putin and you may just be reflecting what "they" told you and want you to believe. In any event, he did a long long interview with Oliver Stone over a number of months and several long sessions. Its really worth a watch if you can still find it on line. Yup! Putin is an interesting chap ---- hyper intelligent & very capable. To me it seems he plays what is often a weak hand extraordinarily well. So hear what he has to say "in his own words" ................. at least give him a hearing. Judge him later!

By the way, how is your French? If you get by in French this doco will probably interest you too, and as an American (I think you are American "de souche" no?) you may recognise some of the people in it. Its definitely what "they" don't want you to see ---- so it may have been supressed by now but I'll try to find the link.
