influenced the French Revolution and he early fathers of the USA
via his Discourse on Inequality and The Social Contract.

The Geneva model then only granted the vote to male citizens
and not migrant inhabitants who were the majority.

I like their referenda system which remedies out system of the risk
of our elected representative not voting in the interests of his/her
electorate due to lobbying pressure/political donor pressure or simply being
duplicitous.

But back to America:

IMO, the USA should have compulsory votng like Aus so that ,
like justice, representative democracy can be seen to be done.
