If you were a Chinese citizen/resident , how would you
feel about a US flotilla & airbourne nukes targeting you
within 500K of your home?
To appreciate this one has to imagine the US surrounded
by Chinese Nukes in warships, aircraft carriers, subs
&airborne bombers within easy target reach of the US
East & West coasts. I can tell you that the Holliwood
Glitterati would be shitting themselves!
This is a form of terrorism, IMO, and Russia & China
are also co-responsible.
It seems absurd that the Climate Change activists are
protesting about gradual climate change when one
deranged press of a button could cause a Nuke chain reaction
and fry the planet in a matter of hours.
This is madness on a global scale, IMO.
(my Nukes are bigger than your Nukes!)
This is why Aus as a non-Nuke country should be encouraging Nuke disarmament
rather than sparring verbally for a US/China war.
IMO, Paul Keating is right in saying that Taiwan is none of our business
and that as a member of the UN we should be guided by UN
policy on the matter. The UN has recognised Taiwan as part of China
since the early 1970s and if we would wish it to be otherwise , then we should
rise a motion in the UN to that effect.
In the 1980s some friends of ours migrated to Aus and sold their
Berlin Home complete with an atomic bomb shelter to simply
get as far away as possible to survive a first strike.
Despite the fall of the USSR & the official end of the Cold War,
the only way a regime hostile to the US can defend itself is to
Nuke-up (EG:North Korea & Iran)
It is interesting to note that the US did not attack Pakistan
(a Nuke Power ) even though it has been (and still is) a training ground
for anti-American Muslim militants & a refuge for the Osama bin Laden mob.
