I listened until I got to:

“…. And the American empire will contract when the US dollar is no longer the world’s reserve currency.”

At which point I thought, “Here we go; yet another commentator calling for the demise of the US dollar; just like the many others have been doing in vain for the past 2 or 3 decades.”


As I once overheard:

Gloom sells newspapers, books and speaking tours.

One of its corollaries would be:

Pessimists might get to sound smart for a while, but Optimists get to prosper by taking opportunities.
