There is no threat of inflation at present. Once inflation takes hold, gold should go astronomic. Imo, the present increase in price of gold is in anticipation of inflation, a tad too early for its own good.
That's my theory anyway. Btw, for my theory to hold up, there must be a positive correlation of inflation and price of gold. Does anyone have such stats/graph/chart???
