    I had an original XU-1 (one of the few that came from factory in strike-me-pink)...previous owner had painted it chrome yellow..

    I stripped it back & painted it in sable mink (silver)...still had the original JP block....but like yourself sold it too cheap ;(.

    ....got a nice wedding ring to show for it though
