One thing that really amuses me re the ev argument is that we had ice cars of a small size in the 70s that were less than 1/2 the weight of an ev, got 70 mpg whatever that is now, cost 3/5 of 5/8 of sweet f all to maintain, cost bugger to buy, and nobody wanted them. A similar thing can be purchased now. Now, evs are as heavy as a tank for their size have bugger all range, cost a fortune to insure and cost a fortune to buy Their EROEI (which after all is what its all about) is a brain dead figure, and many think they are a good thing.....Go figure....
