What kind of automotive engineer from the 70s? You fail to mention that the 20-30% is in fact from the 70s and way out of date now. Also you overlook the life of car round trip efficiency of the battery. Also the fact that when you use the heater in an ice it increases the efficiency and when you use the heater in an ev it decreases the efficiency, in more ways than one, the list goes on. No one seems to mention that hertz are reducing their ev fleet by 20000 due to being to expensive to run!! You also don't mention that the govt allow a fudge factor of x 6 from memory to make them competitive with ice. Would have thought an engineer would at least keep it real....Crazy stuff!
