Whilst personally I wouldn't mind if FMG had a crack, and possibly set off a chain reaction of companies coming forward with their interest in APG, I think a lot of long term holders wouldn't go for it.
People who have been holding for 10 years + would need a takeover significantly above the current price to justify holding for that period of time, or else they may as well of had their money in BHP on a nice dividend reinvestment plan or even have their money compounding in a high interest bearing account.
Anyway, speculation about a takeover for APG has been around for as long as I can remember, I wouldn't be holding my breath.
Lets just let things keep progressing well and finally sign some commercial agreements and get some money coming in!
