Sydney - Friday - May 19: (RWE Aust Business News) -Swish Group
reports that it has entered into an agreement with Medicare
Australia to conduct a Digital Signage/Location Television trial in
initially five Medicare offices in Victoria, New South Wales and
Queensland.
If the trial is successful, it is expected that the Medicare
Australia digital signage network will be expanded into up to 240
Medicare offices around Australia.
The Medicare Australia digital signage program will contain a
wide range of Medicare Australia content and information which will be
able to be viewed by users of Medicare Australia offices on large format
LCD screens positioned throughout those offices.
Swish Group currently operates the Good Health Television network
in about 1,000 large medical centres and hospitals, Pharmacy TV which is
currently in 600 pharmacies and expected to increase to 1,200 pharmacies
by 30 June 2006 and Gymvision in approximately
1,000 gyms and health clubs throughout Australia.
Its various programs contain medical and health related
information and advertising for pharmaceutical companies, health
insurers, cosmetic companies and other providers of medical and health
related products and services.
Cary Stynes, Swish Group managing director, said "the Medicare
Australia digital signage trial is an important development for the
company's digital signage business because it demonstrates that large
organisations that operate retail and other networks are now
beginning to appreciate the significant opportunities available through
the use of digital signage networks.
"The company is also in negotiation with a range of other retail
operators for the trialling or deployment of digital signage networks in
their venues," Stynes declared.
