Well put defplayer. There are a number of naive punters out there who would almost have us believe Palmer's wealth will somehow miraculously make things work at CTP, and all at no cost...

As you point out, getting the board stacked helps him do many things. For example, he could push a farmin through with a Chinese investor on his 5% vehicle (CTP) while pushing through another deal with the same Chinese investor that is better for one of his 100% companies. The investor only looks at the total deal on balance, we get screwed, Palmer does well.

Not saying this would happen, but it shows the risks of handing control to what is only a small shareholder at 5%. It just doesn't make sense. Cottee is more likely to benefit from CTP's success in relative terms than CP if everything is above board, and we end up with balance in the boardroom.
