this summer. Even here (Oz), 50 is pretty hot but we are better
prepared for hot weather. In Sydney, if we had freezing conditions
and snow, we would be in serious trouble because we are not prepared
for those abnormal conditions. I've done my share of whinging this
winter as its been particularly cold by local standards.

Once you get icing conditions, common in Canada, reverse cycle A/C
stops working so I imagine they don't install A/C and suffer in very hot
weather as a result.

I guess you’re right.
For religious types, it may well be the will of god that we f**k this planet and make parts of it uninhabitable for parts of the year (except for those that enjoy and have the luxury of staying indoors with the ac cranked).
Not religious myself.
