How long is it going to take Greenbushes to get all the environmental permits etc, before they start their expansion??
IMO a lot longer than most think, including themselves. The whole Kwinana conversion plant was about winning govt support to allow them to increase production from the very environmentally sensitive area of the South West of WA.

They can't just turn on a tap to produce more. It will take time to get all the permitting etc and the build cannot start until then, IF successful.

The second part is the demand side of the equation. These desk jockeys have no idea what is about to happen with demand for EV's, home and grid storage. The market for Electric trucks is going to go through the roof in the next year or 2, with all these analysts claiming that "no-one could see this coming" again and again in their hindsight views.
Their numbers on the demand side are woefully wrong IMO, and by the time Greenbushes doubles capacity, it will all be desperately needed.

Demand is going to outstrip supply for years, with the occasional blip in prices every time a lot more supply comes online, but that is all Greenbushes doubling capacity will be, another little blip in the price rise that will only last for months at best, just like when PLS, AJM and Wodgina (MIN) all come online around the same time, we will cause a temporary blip in the prices, but the product will all be quickly soaked up.
