stevo,
I could assume as cato says yes - i just have a few less 's'.
And Council critter and everyone else - what you say is correct great efforts etc for battlers with big assets all true.
We have unearthed more and are worth 40% less - skilled at finding...are they skilled at marketing - understanding complexities of their large shareholders - realise the game?
I look at CDU at think the opposite - he makes ann every single day - it's like ann fatigue over there.
I opined a few months back about holding cards close to chest etc etc..and even from Mr Wooton - you know the standard 6 months before anything and then no updates to the market til everything drilled....
The time lag just kills any momentum - perhaps KAR don't care about this...still some have held for several years.... and even at their AGM's etc and with a touch of the smug they stated "no more raising at these levels etc etc..."
So as long termers we may be prepared for bottom draw stuff ( which makes me a sick as hearing it is another 12- 2 years off etc or 6 months before we can say anymore etc )
KAR must understand that retail is gone...... so how do they consider momentum to move in their SP upward when it is very easy for 73% of holders in their stock to play pass the parcel?
There is an end game ...and i maintain it has nothing to do with 2 years etc...but we all have a differing opinion.....
AGAIN - do you think KAR are happy with the SP at this price?
Do you think they do not think they are susceptible?
Sadly 'keep your friends close and your enemies even closer' - this isn't a conspiracy theory simply my take- these blokes chew up and spit out companies daily...you think because we have all these assets etc etc they can't do it here at a vastly lower figure?
Brockman resources readily springs to mind
Let's say it has unearthed conservatively 5 billion worth of assets right now ( just look at Browse at 5-7 T - Brazil maybe a billion barrels of Oil, pre salt, Peru )... all the big boys and the retail - the poor buggers left would be in a heart beat at $8+ right now.
They have had access to KAR's data room for what - 3 months + remember the 'imminent JV for Grace and Peru - look at those timelines - all miles past.... yes things happen like CR and SPP that just cruels your momentum...all gone now and done and we make a mega find and go backwards?
But we have 400 million in the Bank too - and as for the "successful" SPP a microcosm of KAR's treatment of retail and the market IMO - to use that word.
YES - Proteus ran well over budget and costs ( we are only in for 20%)
I think - KAR should be more pro active maybe they will when the tap on the shoulder happens.
I trust they know what they are doing and know how things look - so based on that you have to trust their judgement as to why Humphrey B Bear speaks more to the market than they do
Remind again why we have the puff piece with all the assets in the Australian the other day??? - just normal practice.
Someone posted the other day - no-one believes... a very reasonable point - how many times we heard not for the feint hearted etc etc...well all these people are gone -
They can have the best assets in the World - if they can't get traction they get gobbled up for the very same reason - they have the best assets - the creation of a SP ( implied or otherwise is created by the money men).
Then the assets disappear .... it's not always that Boards wait for all assets to be proven before they then pay way too much...go look at Brockman Resources and no doubt there many other examples.
Hope that is a short enough answer stevo - i have no clue
