the Libs have rejected quotas..... fine, thats their call. but they also have rejected recognising female candidates as having "merit".
its true that quotas aren't necessary. imo they are either virtue signalling at worst or simply a reminder to branch members that choosing women over men is pro-active goal to achieve M/F balance at best..... what is necessary is that Parties let the branches decide without interference. and its in this that the Libs have failed miserably. they maintain a clear bias against women.
