I am not a geologist but looking at the some drilling results it seems to me that there is pattern that might be interestig if not exciting.
Drillhole S36_001 (the "discovery hole"), S36_026 (the hole with 3m 25.2 % cu), S36_025 (hole with interesting grades) and finally S36_033 (hole with the best grades so far) with some imagination are building a triangle with a side length of roughly 300-500m.
S36_025
3m 3.7 % cu between 279-282m
4m 1.8 % cu between 301-205m
5m 1.01% cu between 343-348m
S36_026
222.3m 2.15 % cu between 310-533m
37m 5.29 % cu between 358-395m
3m 25.2 % cu between 384-387m (!)
S36_001
655 m 0.46 % cu
2.01 % cu between 170-212m
5.56 % cu between 180-184m
S36_033
231m 4.5 % cu between 201-432m
17m 14.88 % cu between 211-228m
10m 10.08 % cu between 265-275m
10m 9.11 % cu between 283-293m
At first sight it seems that somewhere between 170 and 400m there might be an envelope within the margins of this triangle. Furthermore it seems that the grades are well above the usual +/- 1 % typical for IOCG deposits.
In the middle of this triangle is S36_023. Almost completed drill hole with an inclination of 70 degress (planned depth 500m, currently at 483m. And adjacent to S36_033 is 032 (as far I can see for both no results have been published so far). So it will be very interesting to see if the extraordinary grades of S36_033 can be confirmed (espacially S36_023). If yes...then really we have to add a new chapter to the Mumbwa story and I guess there will be a nice happy end.
Maybe somebody with a more indeep understanding might come to another conclusion looking at the figures but I think that this all is quite exciting and could a) lead to a substantial upgrade of the resources at Kitumba or even b) be the beginning of a tier 1 project (in the case of b only fasten your seat belts will not help to much...)
I am also eagerly waiting for the gold grades....
