I agree, I think this is the beginning of the end for the US economy.
The US dollar stands on the brink, gold will break 700 over the next year or so, and oil is going to crack 100 - the signs are all there.
What impact this will have on our stockmarket, when it is underpinned by resources companies and a strong economy, will be interesting. We are more closely aligned to the Chinese economy, and that ain't slowing.
I believe that buying resource stocks with their low levels of gearing, strong free cash flow and low PEs is the way to go. A slowing US economy won't stop commodity prices because they will be driven higher by China and a falling US dollar.
